When we photograph properties, it's not about technology first. It's about coordination. About conversations. And about developing a shared understanding of the property. That's exactly what we saw in our current project in Berlin-Kreuzberg.
Property agents were on site. Arash Forotanian, estate agent Silvie Schaefer and Photographer Thorsten Heideck. Three different perspectives – and that's precisely where the strength lies. Arash knows the property, the target audience, and the questions potential buyers will ask. Silvie brings her marketing experience and has a good feel for how spaces are perceived. Thorsten looks through the camera – but not just technically, but with an eye for detail and what's essential.
What happens then is not a classic photo shoot. It's a dialogue. You walk through the rooms, pause, and look again with fresh eyes. You talk about what's important and what perhaps can be left out. Small things are moved, sightlines are tested, lighting situations are utilised. Step by step, an imagery emerges that suits the property.
From room to exposé – and into the backend
The images are not created for their own sake. They are the basis for everything that follows.
From them, the exposé develops. They shape the first impression on our website, on property portals, and in addressing potential buyers. And they are structured within our Black Label Real Estate Team processed – where all information converges and marketing is controlled.
This means: The photography must not only look good, but also function. It must provide orientation, build trust, and highlight the right aspects – precisely tailored to the respective subject and target group.
The Project: Living between Bergmannkiez and Riehmers Hofgärten
This is particularly evident in our current project Urban Living in Yorckstraße, near the Bergmannkiez, and directly by Riehmers Hofgarten.
Here, we are marketing 11 modernised apartments as first-time occupancies. Three rooms, well-thought-out floor plans, balconies with views of greenery, and a building that has been energetically brought up to a new standard – with district heating, new windows, improved insulation, and modern building services.
Much of this can be described. But the actual quality arises from the interplay of space, light, and location. And that's precisely what needs to be recognisable in the pictures.
To achieve this, a show flat was Birgit Brauer-Ziem from STAGED HOMES set up. Only then do proportions become tangible and spaces experienceable. For interested parties – and for photography.
Our claim at Black Label Property
In the end, images are created that appear calm and natural. That is precisely our aim. Because good property photography doesn't impose itself. It guides you through the rooms without drawing attention to itself.
What you don't see is the actual work that goes into it beforehand. The coordination within the team, the many small decisions, and the shared understanding of how a property needs to be presented to be persuasive.
At Black Label, we therefore don't view photography in isolation, but as an integral part of marketing. Images are not created by chance with us – but from experience, discussion, and the clear objective of showcasing every property as it truly is.
We support you.
