The newly published IVD Property Price Service 2024 for Berlin, which can be downloaded free of charge, offers comprehensive insights into current developments on the Berlin property market. The report contains detailed price analyses for condominiums, houses and rental flats as well as illustrative maps. It was compiled by leading experts, including Andreas Habath, project manager and certified property valuation expert, the Berlin members of the IVD Valuation Committee and a team of market reporters, including managing director Andreas Müller of Black Label Immobilien.
Summary of market development
In the third quarter of 2024, prices for condominiums in Berlin only fell by an average of 2 % compared to the previous year. Rents are largely at the level of local comparative rents.
While the number of property sales remains low, the year-on-year decline has slowed considerably. Around 6 % fewer sales of condominiums and single-family homes were recorded than in the same period last year.
