Prof Dr Ramón Sotelo is a Berliner, investor and scientist with international experience. While still a student, he renovated his first flat in the 1980s, laying the foundations for his work as a player on the Berlin property market, where he has been active since reunification. At the same time, he developed an academic career with a degree and doctorate at the Free University of Berlin and an honorary professorship at the Bauhaus University Weimar.

His profile is complemented by his experience abroad in Spain and his involvement in international research networks. He derives his critical perspective on current housing policy from the combination of research and market knowledge.
